We also go above what's required by implementing practices such as:  Window perimeter openings are insulated and sealed with special tape. Electrical boxes are caulked around the perimeter.

In addition to building energy efficient homes, the manufacturing process lends itself to being environmentally friendly in other ways as well.  Waste from a site-built home typically goes to a landfill while we have the ability to recycle.  Currently we recycle the following:

WE BUILD GREEN HOMES AND RECYCLE OUR MATERIALS

Plumbing – The metlund “D’mand” hot water system provides hot water efficiently by using a pump to circulate hot water into your supply line prior to turning on the faucet. This saves water and reduces energy costs. If you have a holding tank there is added saving with less pumping.

Flooring - Warmboard radiant heat system.

Appliances – Energy star rated appliances available. Windows – Energy star rated.

Lighting – Compact fluorescent bulbs and fixtures are available. Also, smart lights that turn on and off with intelligence.

Counter Tops - Terra Collection Corian countertops made with 13% pre-consumer recycled content. Zodiaq quartz made with 50% pre-consumer recycled content.

Insulation: 

    Optional R5 Foam insulation on home exterior.

    Optional R21 Batt insulation in exterior wall cavities. (R19std)

    Standard R50 blown cellulose insulation in attic.

    Optional Icynene low density soft foam insulation spray with a 100x expansion rate.
