ONSTRUCTION IS BETTER EASY DESIGN PROCESS
Whether you want to design most of the home yourself or need ideas, our design team is waiting to help. If you have your own floor plan layout; our builders work with designers to bring your plan to reality. For those who desire more guidance, Wisconsin Homes offers over 150 plan designs to start from. This vast number of floor plans allows you to simply discuss plan preferences with your local builder and have them pick out a design similar to what you’re visualizing. Once your floor plan is selected, it’s then simply a matter of combining options that meet your needs to form your own personalized custom plan.
• Personal Design Support—your builder works with you step- by-step to design the perfect home for you and your family. The best part of a system-built home is once your home is fully designed you simply order it and wait for your home to be delivered to your building site. It’s an easy, less stressful way to build a home.
FASTER OCCUPANCY
With system-built construction you’ll be living in and enjoying your new home sooner. That’s because the home’s factory construction can happen simultaneously with the home’s job site preparation and foundation work. It’s possible that system-built projects can be completed 30% - 50% sooner than traditional construction. This faster occupancy not only saves you time and stress but it also saves on money.
COST SAVINGS
Imagine ordering a home and knowing more of the costs up front. That thought can be a reality because prices from Wisconsin Homes are guaranteed at the time of order. Once home plans are signed, the factory portion of the home building process is triggered. Costs are set, materials are ordered, and the home is scheduled to be built. This streamlined process of events means there are fewer chances of cost overruns for the majority of your building project.
It is also noteworthy that faster and more controlled build schedules lead to homeowners paying less interest on their construction loan.
homes in storm-ravaged Dade County. “Overall, relatively minimal structural damage was noted in system-built homes. System-built construction provides an inherently rigid system that performed much better than conventional residential framing.”
GREATER ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Since modules are built inside, our homes can be constructed from the inside-out and not from the outside-in. This construction methodology is important because it allows us to seal all wall switches, receptacles, light boxes, and fan boxes from behind the walls. This process is not possible on site- built homes. Our foil-backed drywall system, exclusive to Wisconsin Homes, also contributes to higher energy efficiency by guaranteeing a continual foil barrier around wall openings.
This added solid layer is impossible to achieve using a spray like most conventional builders use. All this added efficiency adds up to long term savings in lower energy costs. You can also feel good about living in a truly energy efficient home.
• New Technology—Optional green appliances that take advantage of the latest innovations can be shipped inside the modular sections.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
While waste from a site-built home typically goes to a landfill, waste from a system-built home can be recycled. According to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), typical waste is in excess of 8,000 pounds for an average 2,000 square foot home.
