WISCONSIN HOMES SETS THE STANDARD FOR CONSTRUCTION EXCELLENCE
When working with building codes and requirements, there are builders that just try to meet code and then there are builders who meet and sometimes exceed code because it’s the right thing to do. There are accepted methods of standard construction and then there is a better way. We choose to build the better way. Here are a few examples not already mentioned regarding the Wisconsin Homes better way:
• Double and triple rim joists around the perimeter of the floor rather than single floor joists. In addition, the lumber used is made from select structural hem fir rather than industry standard lower grades of lumber found on most job sites.
• Average homes are wired with 14 awg copper wires. Wisconsin Homes chooses to use 12 gauge electrical wire. This heavier wire allows for 20-amp electrical breakers
• •
instead of the more typical 15-amp breaker therefore helping to avoid breaker tripping due to overloaded circuits.
An extra row of our Winter-Guard roof underlayment helps prevent ice dams and leaks.
Your exterior wall system will be more rigid than most conventional homes. Wall sheathing is not only fastened by nails but it is glued to wall studs. Walls then contain metal banding as well as lag screws in outside corners of the home for added strength. This system provides an extremely strong perimeter wall system.
These are just a few features displaying the structural integrity Wisconsin Homes was built upon. These are features that are not necessarily required but are included to make a better home for you.
