How Your Coverage Works
Your home involves both factory-built and site-built components, so your warranty protection includes multiple experts working together. Here is how the process works with Wisconsin Homes:
Wisconsin Homes Factory Warranty
- One-year limited warranty starting on the date of delivery
- Covers defects in the portions of the home built in our factory
Your Local Builder’s Warranty
- Covers on-site work such as foundation, utility connections, porches, garages and other site-built features
- Your builder is always your first point of contact for service concerns
Product and Appliance Warranties
- Many appliances and mechanical systems come with their own manufacturer warranties
- These are separate from Wisconsin Homes and often extend beyond one year
Together, these layers give you strong protection and simple support.
What Our One-Year Limited Warranty Covers
Our goal is to ensure your home performs as expected. If a covered component is defective due to our materials or workmanship within the first year, we will provide the appropriate replacement parts at no cost. These parts will be delivered or shipped to your home for installation by others as outlined in your official warranty.
Typical areas covered include:
- Structural components of factory-built modules
- Interior finishes installed by Wisconsin Homes when issues are due to defects
- Plumbing, electrical and HVAC rough-ins completed in the factory
- Windows and exterior doors supplied and installed by Wisconsin Homes

What Is Not Covered
Every home warranty has reasonable limitations. Items that are not covered under the Wisconsin Homes factory warranty include:
- Normal settlement issues, such as minor drywall cracks or nail pops
- Damage caused by weather events, accidents, modifications or improper use
- Routine homeowner maintenance, such as caulking, paint touch-ups or filter changes
- Appliances and equipment are covered by their own manufacturer warranties
Your role as a homeowner includes following recommended maintenance and reporting concerns promptly.
How to Request Warranty Service
We want service requests to feel simple and predictable.
Contact Your Builder First
Your builder knows your home and your site conditions best. They will assess the issue and determine who is responsible.
Builder Evaluation
Your builder will determine whether the issue falls under the Wisconsin Homes factory warranty, the builder’s on-site warranty or a product manufacturer’s warranty.
Wisconsin Homes Response
If the issue is covered under our factory warranty, we will supply the appropriate replacement parts and coordinate with your builder for next steps.
Timing
Defects should be reported immediately and no later than one year from the delivery date.
